Bombay Sandwich - Mumbai Sanctuary Recipe
The Bombay sandwich is a Mumbai street food favorite that is filled with delicious veggies and a variety of spices to create an unforgettable sandwich.
Ingredients
- 1 potato, boiled and sliced
- 1 beetroot, boiled and sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 capsicum, sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- Handful of coriander
- Handful of mint leaves
- Few slices of ginger
- 2-3 cloves of garlic
- Salt to taste
- Butter
- 1 lemon
- Bread, 2 slices
Preparation
- Cut off the edges of the sliced bread and apply softened butter on both sides
- Apply softened butter on the bread
- Take handful of coriander leaves and mint leaves, garlic, ginger, chillies, salt, and a few drops of lemon juice and add to a mixer to create the spread, blend to a smooth consistency
Directions
- Take the two slices of bread with butter on it and apply the spread on both sides
- Place the all sliced vegetables on one slice of bread and place the other slice on top
- Cut the whole preparation into 4 or 6 equal blocks
- Garnish with cheese or more sauce, serve and enjoy!
