Lassi - Mumbai Sanctuary Recipe

Lassi is a refreshing and creamy yogurt based drink that in India. This drink is sure to cheer you up on those rough days and cool you down on those hot days.

INGREDIENTS

• 2 cups curd/yogurt
• ½ cup milk or water
• 4-5 tsps sugar or as per taste
• ¼ to ½ tsp cardamom powder
• 4-5 strands of saffron (optional)
• 1 tbsp crushed nuts for garnish - pistachio, almonds, cashew nuts,etc. (optional)

DIRECTIONS

1. Put the curd in a medium sized bowl along with the cardamom powder and sugar (as per taste).
2. Using a hand blender churn the curd until it has a smooth consistency and starts to froth. If you prefer a thinner consistency, add ½ cup of milk or water and churn it again.
3. Add the crushed nuts and strands of saffron for garnishing.
4. Serve in chilled glasses.
